Remembrance: John Cage at 100

This Saturday, November 10th, Fringe Percussion and Gamelan Si Pawit present : Remembrance: John Cage at 100.
The concert takes place at the Vancouver Community College auditorium. It features powerful, contemporary music that celebrates the work of John Cage and local composers who have been influenced by his thoughts, ideas, and music.

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear Cage’s “Haikai” with Gamelan Si Pawit on the original instruments for which it was written and other masterworks such as Cage’s “Third Construction” and Lou Harrison’s “The Song of Quetzalcoatl”. The program also features “I Love Paul Klee” by Vancouver’s own Jocelyn Morlock and the world premiere of Jon Siddall’s “Nitobe, Tea”.
