Couloir – nifty Georgia Straight article – Saturday night premiere!

Woot! Alex Varty has written an article about Couloir, who are playing on the final concert of David Pay’s Modulus Festival! Oh, I suppose I should point out that I have a new piece of music on this program, called Three Medititations on Light. One of them is Bioluminescence (a strange and beautiful phenomenon, though difficult to spell…)

Saturday, October 1, 8pm, at Heritage Hall.  (3102 Main Street, Vancouver, BC. Quite near the Cascade Room, for those requiring post-concert victuals.)

Part of Music on Main. Yes. Are you going to this concert? Are you? Hmm? How about now??? You should go! Where else will you hear cello and harp duo?

  1. Hello Jocelyn,
Couloir was GREAT!…. and so was your piece – Can you call it a musical tryptych? Beautiful… reminded me of some of my favorite spiritually moving pieces such as Tavener’s “Protecting Veil” or Part’s “Fratres”. Deb and really enjoyed it – looking forward to listening to the recording (was there one – or will there be one) on repeat… over and over… so I can float away….
    Cheers, Todd Wong

Don't just sit there, say something!
