For a glorious September weekend, Turning Point Ensemble with guests, soprano Heather Pawsey and the Orchid Ensemble, will unlock the past. Vancouver Snapshots 125 will bring to life the pre-modern, modern and post-modern through musical snapshots of Vancouver’s past to the present day. With the help of the Orchid Ensemble, the vibrant Chinese cultural experience in Vancouver will be revealed, along with music of Vancouver composers representing the past 100 years including R. Murray Schafer, Stephen Chatman, Jocelyn Morlock, Barry Truax, Jean Coulthard and many others.
